The declines of two smaller AI giants widened, with MiniMax (00100) falling 9.2%, trading at HK$250, marking its second consecutive day of decline with a cumulative drop of 10.4%. The stock traded around 2.74 million shares, involving HK$701 million; Zhipu (02513) dropped 5.6%, trading at HK$598.

According to U.S. tech media The Information, citing sources, the Chinese government has signaled it may allow companies such as Alibaba (09988) and ByteDance to purchase Nvidia's (US.NVDA) new RTX Pro 5500 chips. The report stated that recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology requested certain companies to report their planned procurement quantities and purposes for the RTX Pro 5500, indicating an intention to approve such purchases. The RTX Pro 5500 is a professional workstation GPU based on Nvidia's Blackwell architecture launched this month, equipped with 84GB GDDR7 memory and 21,760 CUDA cores, primarily targeting AI inference, simulation, and image processing workstation applications.

In addition, after the Xi-Biden meeting, both China and the U.S. released their respective lists of meeting outcomes, with both sides mentioning the establishment of a China-U.S. AI dialogue, expected to be further discussed at the APEC meeting in November.

Currently, the Hang Seng Index stands at 24,724, up 213 points or 0.9%, with main board turnover exceeding HK$26.1 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index is at 8,255, up 90 points or 1.1%. The Hang Seng Tech Index is at 4,303, down 8 points or 0.2%.
