HK$235.38 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$29.36 billion, or 12.47% of the
market's turnover. There were 647 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.68 billion and HK$1.63
billion, or 9.13% and 5.57% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 20.19% and 14.31% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$1.63 billion and HK$1.5 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.57% and 5.11% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.88% and 22.01% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$5.58, or 7.29%, to HK$82.08. BABA-W ended up HK$6.8, or 6.18%, to
HK$116.8. MEITUAN-W rose HK$25.7, or 14.94% to HK$197.7. PING AN jumped HK$6.65, or
13.26%, to HK$56.8.
