HK$169.91 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.11 billion, or 11.83% of the
market's turnover. There were 671 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.53 billion and HK$898.98
million, or 12.59% and 4.47% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 31.98% and 18.1% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$697.09 million and HK$636.44 million
of short sales, accounting for 3.47% and 3.17% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.94% and 9.84% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.44, or 2.13%, to HK$21.12. BABA-W ended up HK$2.35, or
2.45%, to HK$98.4. MEITUAN-W rose HK$6.1, or 3.25% to HK$193.8. TENCENT jumped HK$8.8, or
2.1%, to HK$427.8.
