billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$78.62 billion, or 19.88% of the market's
turnover. There were 737 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$11.78 billion and HK$8.48
billion, or 14.98% and 10.79% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 64.1% and 17.42% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$7.04 billion and HK$4.32 billion of
short sales, accounting for 8.96% and 5.5% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 27.54% and 16.56% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.146, or 3.18%, to HK$4.74. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.46, or
2.24%, to HK$21. BABA-W rose HK$1.2, or 1.16% to HK$104.8. TENCENT jumped HK$3.6, or
0.82%, to HK$444.8.
