HK$201.53 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$38.38 billion, or 19.04% of the
market's turnover. There were 812 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.48 billion and HK$3.03
billion, or 9.07% and 7.89% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 34.48% and 17.84% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$2.87 billion and HK$1.34 billion of
short sales, accounting for 7.47% and 3.49% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 46.93% and 22.51% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.4, or 1.55%, to HK$25.44. BABA-W ended down HK$4.4, or
2.96%, to HK$144.2. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.68, or 1.84% to HK$89.72. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$0.94, or 2.25%, to HK$40.9.
