HK$245.13 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$31.9 billion, or 13.02% of the
market's turnover. There were 807 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.63 billion and HK$1.55
billion, or 5.11% and 4.87% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 13.49% and 21.96% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.44 billion and HK$1.25 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.51% and 3.93% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 8.47% and 11.49% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.08, or 0.3%, to HK$26.4. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$2.5, or
2.48%, to HK$98.5. BABA-W rose HK$3.9, or 2.73% to HK$146.5. TENCENT declined by HK$5, or
0.81%, to HK$611.
