[ET Net News Agency, 9 March 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$392.33
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$89.49 billion, or 22.81% of the market's
turnover. There were 861 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$22.08 billion and HK$6.3 billion, or
24.67% and 7.04% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
54.78% and 42.15% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$5.14 billion and HK$2.99 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.74% and 3.34% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 42.13% and 18.62% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.3, or 1.16%, to HK$25.62. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.56, or
0.63%, to HK$87.72. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.014, or 0.29% to HK$4.822. TENCENT declined by
HK$3, or 0.58%, to HK$516.
