billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.21 billion, or 12.14% of the market's
turnover. There were 775 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.23 billion and HK$919.69
million, or 9.28% and 6.96% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 31.94% and 48.91% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$614.49 million and HK$606.97 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.65% and 4.6% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 17.01% and 20.72% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.04, or 0.15%, to HK$26.7. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.026,
or 0.53%, to HK$4.924. TENCENT fell HK$5, or 0.96% to HK$517.5. BABA-W declined by HK$1.7,
or 1.24%, to HK$135.3.
