[ET Net News Agency, 30 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$96.54 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$13.35 billion, or 13.83% of the
market's turnover. There were 766 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.66 billion and HK$1.15
billion, or 12.4% and 8.65% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 22.13% and 36.64% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$965.96 million and HK$634.7
million of short sales, accounting for 7.24% and 4.75% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 23.17% and 17.73% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$0.46, or 0.5%, to HK$91.6. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.055, or
1.02%, to HK$5.425. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.1, or 0.39% to HK$25.92. BABA-W jumped HK$1, or
0.7%, to HK$144.3.
