B: John

A: Oh, John. I've been meaning to ask if there's a time we can talk?

A: Sure. Thanks for your time. This might be *out of left field意料之外; 唐突, but l'd like to ask the company for a raise.

B: l see. What are your expectations, based on your performance?

A: I'm the go-to person for difficult questions, like resolving those huge errors in transaction history that almost crashed the network.

A: And I think I've proven my leadership and interpersonal skills. I'd like to ask for a $26,000 to $28,000 increase.

B: You've definitely applied yourself, and the company’s bottom line is much better now. I will get back to you tomorrow.
