"Swimming the Victoria Harbor together - Harbor of Life · Paddling Delight"
Description
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and 20 years of promoting harbourfront development, the Development Bureau and the Harbourfront Commission, together with the Hong Kong Playground Association Marine Shinkansen, will organize a "Victoria Harbor Tour" at the "Water Sports and Recreation Theme Zone" in Wan Chai - Harbor of Life · Paddling Delight" celebration allows interested citizens to register for free and enjoy the fun of visiting Victoria Harbor.
The organizer will continue to promote a total of 10 "Victoria Harbor Swim Together" themed water activities over the three weekends of October and November. The fees are free of charge, and public registration will be officially opened on October 17, 2024!
The experience activities will be held over three weekends in October and November, covering a total of 10 water activities in 4 categories, and are expected to attract more than 130 citizens. Exciting water activities include the "Water Bike Experience@Wan Chai Harbourfront" which debuted in Wan Chai for the first time, the "Canoe Baby Tour@Wan Chai Harbourfront" where everyone can enjoy it together, the "Canoe Sunset Tour@Wan Chai Harbourfront" where you can enjoy the sunset view of Victoria Harbor and the The starting point is the "Canoe Cross-Harbourfront Tour" at the "East Coast Park Theme Area" in North Point. Taking advantage of the National Day and the 20th anniversary of harbourfront development, the Committee hopes to bring different forms of water-friendly experiences through activities so that the public can enjoy Victoria Harbour.
This event is free of charge and places are limited, first come first served. "Water Bike Experience @ Wan Chai Harbourfront" will open for registration on the "POPTICKET" platform at 10 a.m. on October 17, 2024. "Water Bike Experience@Wan Chai Harbourfront"
Date: 26, 27October, 2024 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 4 periods in total
(First session) 10:00am - 12:30pm
(Second session) 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Location: Wan Chai "Water Sports and Recreation Theme Area"
Quota: 10 people per session, 40 people in total for 4 sessions
Target audience: 8 years old or above (8-13 years old must be accompanied by an adult)
"Canoe Baby Tour@Wan Chai Waterfront"
Date: 16, 17 November, 2024 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 4 periods in total
(First session) 10:00am - 12:30pm
(Second session) 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Location: Wan Chai "Water Sports and Recreation Theme Area"
Quota: 8 people per session, 32 people in total for 4 sessions (maximum 6 fur babies per session)
Target audience: People aged 14 or above who bring their furry children to participate. Each canoe can accommodate up to 2 participants and 1 furry child.
"Canoe Sunset Tour@Wan Chai Waterfront"
Date: 16,17, 23 and 24 November, 2024 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 4 periods in total
(One session daily) 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Location: Wan Chai "Water Sports and Recreation Theme Area"
Quota: 8 people per session, 32 people in total for 4 sessions
Target: People aged 14 or above
"Canoe Across the Sea"
Date: 23, 24 November, 2024 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: 4 periods in total
(First session) 10:00am - 12:30pm
(Second session) 2:00pm - 4:30pm
Location: Waters near Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and North Point waterfront
Quota: 8 people per session, 32 people in total for 4 sessions
Target: People aged 14 or above
"20th Anniversary of Harbourfront Development" Art Installation Exhibition
Exhibition date: From the end of November to December 31, 2024
Exhibition location: "East Coast Theme Park Area" in North Point
Location: West of Watson Road, Fortress Hill
Transportation: From Exit A of Fortress Hill MTR Station, turn into Electrical Road via Oil Street and reach the end of Watson Road. The walk only takes about 7 minutes.
